![]() City of Morgantown Public Meeting Calendar Morgantown Convention and Visitor's Bureau: Greater Morgantown Calendar of Events Some Annual Events: WV Birthday Downtown Celebration - June Celebration of America - July 4 Events in downtown Morgantown celebrating the birth of our great nation. Includes music on Court House Square, parade, contests, ending with a Fabulous Fireworks Display over the Monongahela River. Kids Day July - August Kids will “take over” the downtown with over 60 scheduled events. Kids of all ages will learn about safety, play games, receive free “goodies” from area businesses, make crafts, and play in the giant sand box. There will also be live entertainment, and free PRT, Trolley, and horse & buggy rides. Kids, help the Transit Authority 'paint a bus' downtown. So kids, the only place to be is Downtown Morgantown on Kids Day Art On The River Festival- August Events at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Park and Amphitheater along the Monongahela Riverfront. Includes Live musical events all day (various types of music), artists & crafters booths, gourmet food booths, and winery booths. Featured artists display specialized work. Fun for everyone. For more information, 304-292-0914 Marilla Park and Pool in Sabraton Morgantown, WV 26505 Mason Dixon Festival -September A celebration of the beauty of the Monongahela River, and is a fitting tribute to the river's history of romance, industry, and recreation, as well as the Mason-Dixon Line, and early exploration. Events include arts, crafts, fireworks. October The festival, which takes place at Mylan Park in the fall, features five Hound & Hare Races of the 50 balloons. Persons who attend the three day event can expect a real festival atmosphere with carnival rides, live entertainment, arts and craft, souvenir and food concessions, petting zoo, air and static military displays, antique cars, and much more. |
